Naechste Woche kommt uns ja Marlies besuchen und heute waren Tyler und ich unterwegs, um nach ein paar schoenen Ecken zu schauen, wo man ein paar schoene Stunden am Strand verbringen kann. Nun muss man wissen, dass es auf Samui nicht so richtig oeffentliche Straende gibt. Offiziell ist alles oeffentlich, aber inoffiziell stehen ueberall Resorts und Restaurants und man kommt sehr schwer an den Strand und ans Meer ran, wenn man dort nicht uebernachtet. Aber es gibt auch Ausnahmen und so waren wir heute mal im Beach Republic und im O2 Strandclub und waren sehr ueberrascht, wie toll es dort ist. Momentan ist ja eigentlich Regenzeit, aber bis auf ein paar graue Tage, haben wir tolles Wetter. Aber die Insel und die Resorts sind leer und so auch die Strandclubs, wie man gleich auch auf den Fotos sehen wird. Normalerweise muss man im Beach republic Strandclub Eintritt zahlen, aber bis Ende November ist es frei und das ist perfekt. Wir freuen uns sehr auf Marlies und hoffen, dass das Wetter mitspielt.
Next week Marlies is coming for a holiday visit and today Tyler and myself were exploring the island to look for some areas, where we can spend some nice time at the beach. You have to realize, that there are no public beaches on Samui. Officially all the beaches are public, but in-officially there are resorts and restaurants everywhere and it is quite difficult to get to the beach or ocean, if you are not staying in a resort. But there are some exceptions and today we went to have a look at the beach republic and O2 beach club and I was really surprised, how nice they are. Usually this time of the year is rainy season, but we only had a couple grey days and apart from that really nice and hot weather. But the island and resorts are empty, as well as the beach clubs, as you will see in the pictures. Usually you have to pay an entrance fee for beach republic, but it is free until the end of the month, which is perfect. We are very much looking forward to have Marlies here soon and hope for sunny and nice weather.
