DAS ERSTE MAL IM POOL / FIRST TIME IN THE POOL

Es bedarf nicht vieler Worte, lasst einfach die Fotos auf Euch wirken. Es war das erste Mal fuer Tyler im Swimmingpool und nicht nur ihm hat es gefallen, sondern auch uns und den Wuffels.

I don't have to say much, just look at the pictures. It was the first time for Tyler in the swimming pool and not only himself, but also us and the doggies had a good time.  

KURZTRIP NACH SURAT TAHNI / SHORT TRIP TO SURAT THANI

Letzten Sonntag sind wir drei ganz spontan auf nach Surat Thani. Surat Thani (in Thai สุราษฎร์ธานี) ist die Hauptstadt der Provinz, zu der auch Koh Samui gehoert. Um dorthin zu gelangen, haben wir die Seatran Faehre nach Donsak genommen, welche 1 1/2 Stunden faehrt. Man kann dort sein Auto mitnehmen und es ist eine schoene Ueberfahrt zum Festland. Dort angekommen sind wir ca. 60km bis zur Central Plaza Shopping Mall gefahren und haben dort den Tag verbracht. In Samui gibt es natuerlich auch viele Einkaufsmoeglichkeiten, aber eine Mall leider noch nicht. Diese ist allerdings fuer Anfang 2014 geplant und bis dahin, ist Surat Thani ein schoener Tagestrip. 

Last Sunday the three of us went spontaneously to Surat Thani. Surat Thani (in Thai สุราษฎร์ธานี) is the capital of the province, which Koh Samui belongs to. To get there, we took the seatran ferry to  Donsak, which takes about 1 1/2 hours. You can take your car and it's a nice trip to the mainland. Once in Donsak, we drove about 60km to the Central Plaza shopping mall and have spent the day there. In Samui is a lot of shopping possible, but we don't have a big mall yet. This, however, is planned for early 2014, and until then, Surat Thani is an attractive day trip.

AUSWAERTIGES AMT / FOREIGN OFFICE

 

Wenn man im Ausland lebt, ist das Auswaertige Amt zustaendig, falls es Probleme gibt. Fuer uns zustaendig ist die Botschaft in Bangkok und es gibt dort eine elektronische Erfassung von Deutschen in Thailand, bei der man sich anmelden und dann Informationen bekommt und auch alle Kontaktdaten hinterlegt. Diese werden monatlich abgefragt und erfasst sind alle im Haushalt Lebenden und auch die Kontaktdaten in Deutschland. Sollte es also ein Problem geben, was natuerlich keiner hofft, dann sind wir leicht zu finden und auch unsere Familien in Deutschland erreichbar. Robert, Tyler und ich sind dort elektronisch erfasst und man kann sich dort kostenfrei registrieren lassen. If you live abroad, the Foreign Office is responsible if there are problems. For us the embassy in Bangkok is responsible and they have a electronic registration of Germans in Thailand, where you sign up and then get all the information and also leave your contacts in Germany. These are scanned and recorded monthly for all persons living in the household and the contact in Germany. So if there is a problem, which of course no one hopes, we are easy to find and they can also reach our families in Germany. Robert, Tyler and I are electronically recorded and you can register there for free.
